Orquestazo
For musically-inclined dancers and dance-oriented musicians-- We are pleased to announce that enrollment is now open For El Orquestazo, the SMITH for MUSICIANS tango performance program. Under the master direction of Korey Ireland, and co-led by fellow musicians Ben Bogart and Evan Griffiths.
All levels of experience are eligible for the program. Korey has created transcriptions of golden era dance hits, adapted for performers at a variety of skill levels. We will adapt these as needed based on the instrumentation and ability of student musicians.
Join us for a remarkable weekend of tango music making. $75 enrollment fee includes 9 hours of professionally guided rehearsal time (rehearsals scheduled around dance workshops so you can join both!), custom-made music arrangements, professional sound support, and a performance opportunity, plus free admission to the closing milonga of the SMITH festival.
